What we know about moving in this part of Kent
Gravesend is a town that sits between two fairly different characters. Northfleet, to the west, has a long industrial history — the cement works are long gone but the streets reflect it, and some of the older properties there need more thought around access and parking than a typical suburban removal. The town centre and riverside area is a different story: a mix of period houses around the historic centre, newer riverside apartments near the Thames, and a level of footfall on the main routes that needs factoring into a moving day schedule.
Further out into DA12, Singlewell and Istead Rise are mostly post-war residential — easier logistics, but Istead Rise in particular sits up on a hill and the approach roads are narrow in places.
